The Canon EOS 5D Mark III and the Sony Alpha SLT-A99 are two great looking cameras and you could be trying to choose between them, so which has the best specs?

The Canon EOS 5D comes in with a price tag of around $3,999 while the Sony Alpha SLT-A99 is around $2,298. Both are DSLR cameras and they have the CMOS sensor.

The Canon EOS 5D offers 22.3 MP while the Sony Alpha SLT-A99 comes in at 24.3MP. The former offers 50 ISO and the latter 100 ISO. With maximum ISO being 102400 for the Cannon and 6400 ISO for the Sony.

The Canon EOS 5D offers optical imagine stabiliser and shutter speed of 1/8000 seconds as does the Sony Alpha SLT-A999, but doesn’t have optical image stabiliser. Both have 30 seconds longest shutter speed, with the former having 6 frames per second and the latter 8 frames per second. Both have a screen display size of 3 inches.
