For months now, Square Enix has been really active in hyping up the fans on Kingdom Hearts 3 with little on the HD 2.5 Remix. The latter is promised to be a remake of the old Kingdom Hearts 2 and will enjoy an earlier release date than Kingdom Hearts 3.
Despite that fact, fans are growing frustrated as nothing much is revealed on HD 2.5 Remix. Some even went as far as hinting that it got cancelled. Just before things speculated further, Square Enix released their financial results for the period ending March 31, 2014.
The report revealed that a Kingdom Hearts game will be coming in 2014 and is still pending for a release. This is believed to be the HD 2.5 Remi x game as Kingdom Hearts 3 will be too soon. On top of that, the platform states PS3 whereas Kingdom Hearts 3 is a cross-platform next-gen game.
All in all, the plans for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix remains fixed to how it was first announced. Perhaps Square Enix will be spilling the beans on E3 happening next month.
