The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes bundled with the Samsung Galaxy Gear and the phablet has the quad core 2.3GHz Krait 400 processor along with the Adreno 330 GPU, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip and 3GB of RAM. It has KitKat 4.4.2 and plenty of business apps along with lifestyle apps and high end mobile games.
The display is AMOLED at 5.7 inches and this offers a superb multimedia experience as the colours are vivid and true to life. The pixel density is 386 and this means that the resolution size is as high as 1080 x 1920. The display comes with high contrast and brightness and it is easy to see in any lighting conditions.
It offers a camera of 13MP and takes photos of outstanding quality. It can also record at 2160p and in 30fps or 1080p at 60fps. There is also a camera of 2MPand this records at 1080p and 30 fps.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 offers a battery life that is decent, this is by way of the Li-Ion 3200 mAh battery. It offers around 21 hours of talk time and 420 standby.
The Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch and phablet bundle has been on offer since September and it has received mixed reactions.
The watch is appealing visually and it comes in at just a little larger than the typical watch. It has the single core 800 MHz ARM processor along with the Exynos chip and 512MB of RAM. It runs on Android and it does make the pair a powerful combination. The downside is that there are not that many apps for it.
The watch has a display of 1.6 inches with 275ppi and resolution of 320 x 320. It is easy on the wrist and comes with a camera of 1.9MP and the option to record video at 720p.
The poor battery life is one of the downsides as when connected to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 you get around 3 to 4 hours use from the 315 mAh battery.
Anyone who is a tech lover will enjoy the bundle of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Gear. However thanks to the poor battery life and limited apps, it is a bit of a let down.
