Ford Focus lovers here in the US are now worried that the upcoming Focus RS is not going to debut like how it was unveiled at various auto exhibitions. This is because the rumours are suggesting that the Focus RS for the US won’t be as good as the European model.
It is said that Ford is trying to cover up the shipping cost of the Focus RS by removing many of its safety features. After all, the Focus RS is built in Germany and it is made to follow the European strict safety guidelines.
Here in the US, things are not so strict hence it suggests that Ford will remove some of the safety features from the Focus RS for the US. Doing so will aid them in reducing the cost of production and that extra fee can be channelled to pay for the Focus RS’ distribution in this country.
Of course, this would also mean that the next-gen US-bound Focus RS will be a second-grade model. This is without a doubt upsetting but on the bright side of things, the above is still based on rumours and it is best to take them with a pinch of salt.
