Anorexic is a deadly disease that came from an uncontrolled weight-loss program. For humans, anorexic can be deadly but for cars, it is very healthy. This explains why Lexus has decided to develop the RX Facelift with aluminium and it is meant to drag the weight of the vehicle down.
The RX Facelift, which is going to make its debut later this year, will feature an aluminium hood, aluminium tailgate and also closures made of the same metal.
Lexus claims that the lighter RX Facelift will aid in improving the vehicle’s performance drastically. This is not surprising since a lighter body means that power will be better optimized. More importantly, fuel economy will also get a big boost.
This can only mean well for the RX Facelift. We can look forward to learn on the performance improvement for the RX Facelift once the luxury SUV gets fully unveiled in the coming months.
