Let’s have a showdown between the Apple’s iPad Mini and Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8.0. These two tablets are among the hottest tablet available in the current market.
The iPad Mini sports a 7.9 inches display with 1024 x 768p resolution on its aluminium and glass body. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has an 8 inches display but sadly, a plastic body. However, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 comes with an S Pen, just like all the other Galaxy Note series.
The iPad Mini and the Galaxy Note 8.0 both have a 5MP rear camera. However, the Samsung Galaxy has a 1.3MP front facing camera while the iPad Mini has a 1.2MP. Both devices have the same battery life despite the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 hast 490mAh more battery capacity. Both devices offer about 11 hours on mixed usage.
When it comes to processor, the iPad Mini is powered by Apple’s dual core A5 chip which is completed with a 512MB RAM. The Galaxy Note 8.0 on the other hand has a 1.6 GHz quad core Exynos chip and 2GB RAM which makes it better in multi tasking. However, the iOS fans would definitely go for the iPad Mini’s iOS 7 operating system. The Galaxy Note 8.0 comes with pre-installed Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
In terms of costs, both devices cost just about the same. The iPad Mini is available for $330 whole the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 can be purchased at $300. When it comes to choosing one between these two mid-sized tablets, it would depend on personal taste and needs. So, which one is yours?
