Back at the last New York Auto Show, Lexus unveiled a concept model of the upcoming RX Facelift. The vehicle is confirmed to be in production and it will be making its debut in Q4 this year.
For a facelift model however, the next RX is going to come with big upgrades. Lexus revealed that the RX Facelift, which involves both the RX350 and RX450, is going to come with performance improvements and better fuel efficiency.
This is simply because the RX Facelift is going to be Lexus first ever vehicle to come with aluminium parts. Lexus shared that the RX Facelift will feature aluminium for its hood, tailgate and closures. The application of aluminium comes with the sole purpose of dragging the weight of the SUV down.
With a lightweight RX Facelift, there is no doubt that the vehicle is going to offer lots more power and better fuel economy. Then again, Lexus has yet to reveal any figures on this yet so it will have to wait until later this year before we can truly measure on how big the upgrade is with the RX Facelift.
