The next-gen Apple MacBook Pro has been strongly linked to run on Intel’s upcoming Core M Skylake chips but this is only if the nano-processor becomes available in late June as that will give Apple ample time to integrate the feature with their future laptop.
If the MacBook Pro does come out equipped with Skylake, then the laptop is in contention of becoming the best in history. This is because Skylake is able to offer a much faster processing speed. Also, the chip has support for wireless charging as well as WiGig wireless connectivity.
Of course, the eye-candy of them all is with Skylake’s energy efficiency. Intel teased that Skylake will consume 60% less energy than Broadwell. In other words, the future MacBook Pro can last much longer on batteries than how it was previously.
Then again, it is still Apple’s call to make on whether they should introduce Skylake with the next-gen MacBook Pro. As such, fans should not have high hopes for the above to happen as there is a huge risk of disappointment.
