The next-gen Ford Focus RS will be racing to its global debut later this year. To make things sweeter, Ford has finally confirmed that the Focus RS will also be released here in the US.
Prior to the confirmation, fans were worried that the Focus RS won’t enjoy a home debut. This is because Ford already has the EcoBoost-powered Lincoln MKC and also the Mustang. Having the Focus RS joining the party will overcrowd the performance segment and that will be bad for profits.
Then again, this does not bother Ford at all as the carmaker believes that the Focus RS is going to be huge when released in the US. When the Focus RS arrives, it will be slotted above the Focus ST.
