The next-gen Ford Focus RS is poised to make its debut later this year but fans of the Focus here in the US are worried that the sports hatch is not going to make its debut at home.
This cannot be helped as here in the US, Ford has got the EcoBoost-powered Lincoln MKC and the also the Mustang as their performers. Having the Focus RS being added into the mix will overcrowd the segment and this might not be best for business.
Then again, the fans can now put their worries to rest as Ford has finally given the thumbs up for the Focus RS US debut. Ford made the announcement back at the recent New York Auto Show and it came to the relief of the fans.
Good or bad for business, it is not going to stop the next-gen Focus RS from coming to the US. When it arrives, the sports hatch will be running on a new 2L EcoBoost engine that generates at least 300hp on the AWD system.
