AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Issues Could Be Here For A While

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users are certainly not the happiest people at the moment. For months they have been tolerating a bug which continuously harasses the device’s GPS. This will only be fixed when AT&&T releases the Android KitKat update.

It seems that whenever the Galaxy Note 3 performs an automated network switch (often happens during phone calls), the GPS service gets disconnected out of a sudden. The same thing happens whenever the Note 3 is plugged or unplugged to/from the charger.

AT&T is aware of the problem but instead of sending a fix for it, they prefer to wait for the Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM. Some users are furious with this and have taken things to change.org. A petition has been created to force AT&T to release a fix immediately. To make matters even worse, AT&T is still selling the infected Galaxy Note 3 without keeping customers aware of the issue.

It seems that the problem is only with the AT&T version of Galaxy Note 3. Those on other carriers have no reports on such incidents. As such, the blame can’t be put on Samsung or Google.
