Apple won’t launch the iPhone 6 until much later this year, but the handset has already been stealing the limelight. We have heard news about patents and these have pointed towards us seeing an iPhone that is revolutionary. Reports have suggested that would could a display made from sapphire glass, if so it would be scratch free. There has also been talk of a self-adjusting power system and perhaps a launch of the phone in two different sizes. If this all pans out we could see an iPhone 6 that would be able to give the Samsung Galaxy S5 a run for its money.
The chief analyst of ESM China said that the Apple iPhone 6 may have a monitor that would check the weather. An insider from Apple had talked about a patent for this for a handset that would use sensors so it could monitor conditions externally. Chang Xu said that the iPhone 6 may be able to track pressure, humidity and temperature.
The source behind the information has been said to be from Apple, with the person being under the MEMS unit. We have heard that the device will not have to rely on 3rd party apps, as it could track the conditions of the environment and the owner of the phone.
We could see sensors included in the Apple iPhone so that it will be able to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S5. We have seen weather tracking included in the Samsung Galaxy S4, so the iPhone 6 could have them to push it ahead.
We also heard that the display may be made of sapphire glass and this would be resistant to fingerprints. Apple has done a deal for $500 million with GT Advanced technologies. The coating would stop oil from the user’s fingers getting on the touch display.
There has also been talk about a power management system; this came about thanks to a patent too. It was said that it could track the user’s habits and alter the battery life and performance.
Another patent pointed to a camera remote, this could be by way of an accessory that would connect a smart device with a wireless link, this could be through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
Apple hasn’t said anything about the Apple iPhone 6, however we have heard that they may be about to launch two phones with displays of 5.5 inches and 4.7 inches.
