The next-gen Ford Focus RS is going to make its global debut later this year and while there is a strong anticipation for the car, many are worried that the sports sedan won’t be launched here in the US.
This is because of the availability of both the Lincoln MKC and the Mustang. Both vehicles from Ford are powered by the EcoBoost engine and it puts the Focus RS home debut in doubts.
Well, car junkies can put their fears to rest as the Focus RS will get released in the US regardless of the overcrowded performance segment. Ford has already confirmed on this back at the last New York Auto Show.
When the Focus RS arrives, it will be powered by a newly-developed EcoBoost engine with at least 300hp to offer. The sports hatch will be looking to compete with the Volkswagen Golf GTI and also the Honda Civic Type-R when released.
