Ford has confirmed that a new-generation of Ranger will make its debut later this year and the pickup truck will only be available in the Asia Pacific region. The announcement was made together with the release of a teaser trailer concerning the next-gen Ranger.
If car junkies are to check out the short video clip, they will notice that the Ranger looks a lot like the latest Atlas. It features a larger grille, a restyled front bumper with new fog lights and more creases on the engine hood. The funny thing is that they are all styled like the Atlas.
It seems to us that both the Ford Atlas and Ranger are actually two-of-a-kind pickup trucks. They both share the same features and styling. Perhaps, the different name is required so that Ford can identify which vehicle for which region.
