The Lexus RX SUV is currently getting a facelift treatment and it is due to arrive later this year. Well, the changes are actually not limited to the design changes since the RX Facelift is poised to offer a better performance overall.
In detail, the RX Facelift will be better optimized for power and more fuel savvy. This is bound to happen after Lexus revealed to us that the RX Facelift is going to be lighter than ever.
Amazingly, the weight cut program does not see the removal of any features. Instead, Lexus has learned to utilize aluminium for the RX Facelift’s hood, tailgate and closure. The lighter metal is the one that is responsible for the weight cut.
The application of aluminium on the RX Facelift will make the SUV the first ever Lexus vehicle to pick up the trend. Lexus shared that the choice of aluminium used is engineered in the highest order hence it will be as strong as conventional metals.
