We have seen the iOS 7.1 jailbreak launched for the iPhone but it doesn’t work on all versions of the iPhone.
A video has been revealed which shows the iPhone 4 jailbroken and its running iOS 7.1. The video was Tweeted by @winocom.
It is said that the iOS 7.1 jailbreak is for older handsets, this includes the iPhone 4, the 4th gen iPod Touch and the first gen iPad.
So this must mean that the newer versions of the iPhone are harder to jailbreak than the older ones, as the iOS 7.1 jailbreak is just for the older versions.
The iPhone 5S and 5C have more security features installed and this has meant that jailbreakers have found it more difficult to jailbreak.
Up to now the Evad3rs team have kept quiet on the subject of the iOS 7.1 jailbreak by winocom. Perhaps this means that they have been working on the iOS jailbreak for the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5S.
Apple launched iOS 7 last year in September. The launch was a rocky start and many owners of handsets complained about error messages when they went to download the software. It seems that the servers of Apple struggled with the amount of people trying to download it.
The Evad3rs were quick to follow up with the first jailbreak for iOS 7 in December.
Apple then replied by announcing iOS 7.1, which made the jailbreak more difficult.
