Ford has finally cleared the air surrounding the next-gen Ford Focus RS and confirmed that the highly anticipated sports hatch is going to make its debut here in the US. The announcement was made yesterday and it rubbishes the many rumours that claim the Focus RS to miss out on a local release.
In detail, the word is that Ford is not going to launch the Focus RS here in the US due to the availability of the EcoBoost-powered Lincoln MKC and also the Mustang. Releasing the Focus RS here will simply be bad for business.
Thankfully, Ford is not making decisions based on profits and they are very passionate about the Focus-badge. Good or bad for business, America deserves the Focus RS to sit above the Focus ST and failing to offer it will only tarnish Ford’s great image.
