2016 Jeep Wrangler: Entering A New Direction?

The upcoming Easter Jeep Safari event is going to play host to many new concept vehicles and among them is the future Wrangler. An industry insider revealed to us that the next-gen Wrangler is going to be totally different to the existing Wrangler.

In detail, the next-gen 4×4 will be made with lighter materials to reduce its weight. Obviously, Jeep is aiming to achieve better power output and fuel economy with the next-gen Wrangler.

Under the hood, the Wrangler is expected to run on the newly developed 3.6 liter 6 cylinder engine and a new direct injection system to the Pentastar motor nicknamed PUG. Of course, consumers can still opt for the 2.8L V4 diesel or the 3.8L V6 engine.

Of course, not more was revealed by the insider but judging by the sound of it, it seems that Jeep is planning to make the Wrangler friendlier to the general market. Many will surely be pleased with this new direction for the Wrangler.
