In recent years, Ford has been very aggressive in dealings with the global automotive market but that does not mean it has forgotten about America. This is why the rumours all sounded ridiculous in claiming that the next-gen Focus RS won’t be making its debut here in the US.
While the rumours does have a point when they claim that the performance market is already overpopulated with the availability of the EcoBoost-powered Lincoln MKC and the Mustang, it does not mean that the next-gen Focus RS can’t be offered here in the US.
Perhaps, the rumours are speaking out of envy. We’ll never know for sure but in our eyes, the latest batch of vehicles from Ford has been extremely well-done. Heck, even the lowest and most basic of trims are able to offer a great performance.
So there is no such thing as an overpopulation of performance vehicles from Ford and they should be viewed as the real standard set by the carmaker. Together with Ford’s gung ho behaviour, there is no doubt the Focus RS will make its debut here in the US.
