Will The 2015 Honda Civic Type R Lose The Racer Looks?

The PR team of Honda are getting ready to show off the Civic Type Concept and testing has been taking place close to the Nurburgring.

At the moment we cannot tell if the tester car is wearing the body of the final production car or one of the prototypes that we have been seeing over the last few months.

It does look as though the styling is less aggressive than the study, some of the features that stood out have been replaced, such as the large wrap around wing that holds the tail lamps, the flared front and back wheel arches, front canards, the bloated rear bumpers and the prominent side skirts, which components that are less dramatic.

The car still had the wider front wheel arches along with air outlets, but they were not as flared as those seen on the concept. The tester car looked a great deal like the Civic Type R prototype that we were shown in 2013.

What will not be changed however is the new 2.0 litre VTEC turbo four cylinder, which should offer between 280 and 300hp along with the six speed gearbox.
