Volkswagen’s Pilot Rival: Excruciatingly Slow, Too Late To Matter Now

While most automakers already have a three-row crossover model in the market right now, Volkswagen is only about ready to release one of their own. While we are curious about this new offering, we also can’t help but feel that the crossover will be so late that it won’t matter anymore.

Based on the new spy shots, the three-row crossover will be getting the same headlights as the one we saw on the CrossBlue concept. The rest of the body was heavily covered in camo tarps though.

Under the hood should be a 3.6 liter V6 engine. The new crossover should be coming in to compete with models like the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and Ford Explorer.

However, will all of these matter at the end of the day. The segment is getting a little too crowded now and at the end of the day, we do not think the new crossover will make an impact.
