Volkswagen Golf Puts Scandal Behind With New Engines

It looks like Volkswagen really wants to put the whole diesel mess behind them as they work to give the Volkswagen Golf a new set of engines for the 2017 models.

According to Motoring, the 2017 Volkswagen Golf will be coming in with three new engine. A 1.5-liter petrol engine as well as a 1.5-liter diesel engine that will be based on the 1.6 liter TDI engine but smaller. There is also a small 1 liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine

While Volkswagen has confirmed that they will be offering these new engines, they also added that the new engines will not be offered right from the start. According to Herbert Diess, the Chief Executive of Volkswagen, the engines will be arriving later because it is more expensive to produce and they want to bring it in only when the time is right.

The engines will all come with a uniform cylinder capacity size of 500cc which means that can all be made at the same production line.
