Toyota Land Cruiser, 4Runner, & Tundra: Recalled For Being Overprotective

Airbags are there to protect you but things can go wrong especially when the airbag tries to protect you for nothing. Toyota is issuing a new recall to recall back some of their models due to some airbags issues.

According to the reports, the curtain shield airbags which will come down from the roof in certain types of crashes might deploy when the car is started up. They added that the issue is due to the programming of the airbag control modules.

Models that will be affected by the recall will include the 2005-2006 Toyota Tundra, 2005-2006 Toyota Sequoia, 2003-2006 Toyota Land Cruiser, 2004-2006 Toyota 4Runner, 2004-2006 Lexus GX470 as well as the 2003-2006 Lexus LX470.

A total of 320,000 units will be recalled by Toyota. Affected models will be called in to get their airbag control module replace with a new unit with better programming.

According to Toyota, o crash or death have caused by the issue although there were reports of the airbags causing some injuries.
