Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid Set Up To Fail

Ever since the whole Diesel incident, Volkswagen has made it clear that electric powered models are the way to go in the future and while that might be the case, it looks like they might still be dropping the Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid.

The news did not come as a surprise to many. Some said that the reason why the Jette Hybrid failed was because it came in as a trim option. They added that most poeple that wants to own a hybrid will want to get one that is made as a hybrid not modified to be one.

Another reason why people said the Jetta Hybrid was doomed from the start was because of its huge price tag. To Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid retails for about $31,000 and many consumers are saying that that is too much for a compact car like the Jetta. With a price like that, they might as well go for the Prius.

The Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid returned about 42mpg in the city and 48mpg on the highway.
