Subaru Impreza And 2015 XV Crosstek To Resemble WRX

A large number of fans were left frustrated after Subaru debuted the all new WRX and WRX STI. There was not much resemblance to the concept which the Subaru design was supposed to look like. The new design was not as interesting and exciting as the concept had led them to believe it would be.

Despite this, fans may still get to see the concept design that they adore be developed. An insider has claimed that Subaru are intending to release the next Imprezza in 2016 and that it will take many of its design ideas from the concept.

Mamoru Ishii, the Subaru Chief designer, spoke to Auto Express and stated that they have “taken the next-generation Impreza’s design in a new direction that we are sure will excite the marketplace.” He went on to say that they are “planning to give the lower section below the hip line a wider, more substantial stance and narrow up the roof section.” The new Imprezza will come with a more tapered greenhouse and a lower body just like the WRX concept has.

The new Imprezza is also going to include Subaru’s new modular chassis architecture the Subaru Global Platform, which Subaru claim that from 2016 will be included with all models.
