Samsung Android 4.4 Kit Kat Update Confirmed But No Good News

Samsung has already revealed that the latest Android 4.4, known as KitKat, will be available to its smartphones. During a recent interview, a representative for the Korean-based vendor simply quoted that the rollout will be in due.

While it may sounds good, it can be a little worrying. HTC, a rival company from Taiwan, too revealed the KitKat update for its devices. The difference is that HTC gave us a specific time range for the release while Samsung remains lip-sealed on the matter.

There are many ways to interpret this and one common way is to expect the KitKat update to arrive ‘later rather than sooner’ for Samsung users. Only time will tell if that is what to be expected. Another thing that is creating quite the suspense among Samsung users is that which devices will be entitled for the update? Google has already announced that the KitKat can be supported even for the low-end phones which mean many smartphones can support the update. The question now is will Samsung continue to stick to the popular, high-selling Galaxy S4 and Note 3 or will they roll out the updates on the low end devices as well?

While HTC made things clear cut, Samsung prefers to give its users a session of mental-torture. Would you still stick to your Samsung device and hope for the update or is the Nexus 5 starting to give you second thoughts? Share with us your opinion on this.
