Nissan Leaf Can Be Hijacked Miles Away, No Fixed Yet

The problem with new vehicles getting connected now is that they are also more vulnerable now. A computer programmer has just revealed a flaw that the Nissan Leaf had that would allow hackers to take controlled of the Nissan Leaf halfway around the world.

The programmer, Troy Hunt revealed that hacker can easily gain accessor to the companion app on the Nissan Leaf and from there, they can look through the driver’s location history as well as take control of some of the features like the air conditioning.

According to Hunt, Nissan is currently aware of the problem but they have not come out with a solution for it yet. So how can Nissan Leaf owners prevent their cars from getting hacked?

Well, the easiest way right now is to disable the Nissan CarWing account until Nissan comes out with a fix. Owners that did not sign up for it are safe
