Manuals Are Slowly Losing Its Ground, Men To Blame?

More and more auto manufacturers are moving away from manual transmission mostly due to the fact that manual transmission is getting less and less popular now. A new study has now shown that men are more likely to make the switch from manual to auto compared to women.

Swapalease recent study concluded that men seem less likely to pick up a model with a clutch. They also added that the numbers of men driving a clutch went from 85.4% to 81.2% while the number of females driving with a clutch went from 14.6% to 18.8% which points out that more women are now driving manual cars.

It is actually not that surprising to know that there is less demand for the clutch now. With all the improvement automakers have been making on the auto transmission, the auto transmission seems to have become the preferred transmission for many.
