The PC gaming community is a special bunch of people. Not only are they blessed with the best gaming platform in history but they can also tweak just about any game to their liking. Of course, not every PC gamer is a born modder.
The latest and probably the biggest mod in the history of PC gaming is currently in development and it looks to take the world by storm once it gets released. The small team of modders is apparently re-creating GTA 5 for the PC via the GTA 4 game. This is the first mod of its kind and many preview videos of it is available on YouTube.
The genius behind this project is the talented youngster Jonathan Gustafsson. Unless you’re not a YouTube fan, then you must’ve have stumbled on the modder’s video uploaded under the name, Taltitog. Eventually you’ll end up asking, “Who is this guy?”
Gustafsson is a special kind of modder, not like the lot which you’ve seen, met or heard. The Swedish lad is both talented and skilful when it comes to modding. He is known for his works which mostly involves modding a GTA game.
One of his biggest creations is the Ecto 1 Ghostbusters automobile which was for GTA 4. Heck, a GTA Vice City was also created by this fan of the franchise. His mods soon captured the attention from both gamers and game developers. Machinima was so impressed that the game developer offered him a contract.
Today, the fan-made GTA 5 for the PC is approaching its completion. Gustaffson can’t wait to unleash his version of the GTA 5. If you think the Swede is working alone, you’re wrong. A handful of modders from Russia all the way to Brazil have been giving the lad a helping hand.
At the moment, they are bringing in images of GTA 5 into GTA 4 and it isn’t a copy and paste kind of thing. It is re-writing each and every coding which means a lot is at work. Nevertheless, Gustaffson will look to complete it in a month’s time.
Gustaffson is hoping that his creation will be loved by the masses. The modder doesn’t want the entire project to just be known as a YouTube broadcast. He wants it to be big. Regardless whether Rockstar will release the GTA 5 for the PC before or after Gustaffson, the latter does not worry one bit as he knew that the original is irreplaceable.
