GM “No Driving” Recall: Which Models Are Affected

It appears that some GM vehicles are experiencing production faults where the engine will stall at random which then affects the steering wheel and the airbags. Failing to anticipate the stall will leave the car at high risk of crashing.

The latest reported victim is Amy Horne. The lady’s GM Saturn Ion has been going in and out of service centres but to no avail.

GM claims that the issue lies with the vehicle’s ignition, which is not tight at all. A simple nudge can cause the key to turn by itself and switch the engine off automatically.

At the moment, GM is looking to produce a fix for the major flaw. Meanwhile, the company recommend to remove every keychains as they can affect the probability of the engine being shut down.
