Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 vs Dodge Hellcat: Can 650hp Beat 707hp?

If you were to look at the engine output of both these models, the Dodge Challenger with its Hellcat engine obviously has more to offer compared to the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 but is that reflected on the track?

The guys over at hpedesign put both the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and the Hellcat Challenger on the track to see which of the two is the winner. Before we reveal the winner, let us remind you of what these models have to offer.

The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is powered by a 6.2 liter V8 engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual or the 10-speed auto transmission. The vehicle in the video was running on a six-speed manual transmission. The engine will be delivering about 650hp and 650lb ft of torque.

The Dodge Challenger Hellcat, on the other hand, will be powered by a 6.2 liter supercharged Hemi V8 engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual or an eight-speed auto transmission. The one in the video was running on an auto. The engine will be offering about 707hp and 650lb ft of torque.

Well, the Dodge Challenger Hellcat ended up being the winner although most people seems to think that the result would be different if the Camaro ZL1 was fitted with an auto transmission.
