While Sony has not made any announcement yet, it was assumed that they were going to release a new Sony Xperia Z6 flagship smartphone to follow up after the Z5 we saw last year.
However, the Xperia X, XA and X Performance announcement at the MWC this year had everybody confused. With what the new devices had to offer, it felt like that was the flagship for Sony. The devices came with impressive premium specs and features and would match what the other smartphone manufacturer are offering.
This has led the fans saying that the new X, XA and X Performance is the new flagship and that the Sony Xperia Z6 will not be released this year. It was initially predicted that the Sony Xperia Z6 will be coming in with a 5.2-inch display screen and that it will be running on the Snapdragon 820 processor. The device will be fitted with a 23MP rear camera and will be equipped with a fingerprint sensor.
