Samsung Galaxy S6 vs LG G4: Fast Charging Takes On High Res Selfies

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and the LG G4 are worlds apart when it comes to design and looks but we thought it would be fun to compare the two as both are superb handsets in their own right.

The LG G4 has a design that is slightly curved and LG went for the premium leather look with the handset. Samsung on the other hand offered a device that has a metal frame. The LG G4 offers a display of 5.5 inches compared to the 5.1 inches of the Samsung Galaxy S6. It has a camera that can take higher resolution selfies at 8MP compared to the 5MP of Samsung.

The LG G4 offers removable storage and support for SD card which the Samsung Galaxy S6 doesn’t and it also has support for FM radio and microUSB. On the other hand the Samsung Galaxy S6 offers wireless fast charging which the LG G4 doesn’t and it comes with a heart rate sensor and blood oxygen sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 design features more glass and gone is the plastic look but then it could be more likely to get scratched. The LG G4 takes on the removable back that Samsung ditched but the leather on the back of the handset could be a worry as it ages and cracks.

The display of the LG G4 is larger than that of the Samsung Galaxy S6 but this is only by 0.4 inches, however the S6 does have a lovely Super AMOLED display. The LG G4 has a better camera and some unique features to it, while Samsung have put more focus into the fingerprint sensor and adding in apps that track your fitness.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is ahead for its processor and beats the processor of the LG G4. The S6 offers two more cores than the G4 and LG used the Snapdragon 808 while Samsung used the Snapdragon 810.

The LG G4 may be better aimed at the power user while the Samsung Galaxy S6 isn’t but both are superb handsets in their own right and it may be difficult to choose between them.
