Samsung Galaxy Note Series Not Dead Yet

With all that has been going on with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, a lot of people thought that Samsung would ditch the Samsung Galaxy Note Series and focus on making a new flagship. While a fresh start would be nice for Samsung, a lot of people were not ready to see the Note series go just yet.

Luckily, it looks like Samsung plans to keep the Samsung Galaxy Note series around for a little longer. While they did not officially make the announcement, they did reveal their new plan to make up to their Samsung Galaxy Note 7 buyers.

According to Samsung, those that have bought the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in South Korea will be able to buy the next Samsung Galaxy S8 or Samsung Galaxy Note 8 at a discounted rate.

Called the Galaxy Upgrade Program, those that have already exchange their Note 7 with the Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge will only need to pay half of the replacement S7 or S7 Edge. When the new S8 or Note 8 arrives, they will be able to exchange the S7 for the new model for free. However, the customers will still have to pay half the cost of the S7 or S7 Edge to qualify for the upgrade.
