This year started out great for the Prince of Persia fans. At the start of the year, there were already talks and rumors about a possible new Prince of Persia game being announced this year but we are only weeks away from the end of 2016 now and still nothing about a new Prince of Persia game.
Fans got excited when a Reflection employee tweeted an image hinting that there might be more Prince of Persia. He did not say when it will be happening but fans believed that an announcement was going to be made this year.
The only Prince of Persia announcement that we got from Ubisoft this year was that the Sand of Time will be offered for free as part of their anniversary celebration. That was it. No new game was announced.
It is believed that Ubisoft is working on a new 2D Prince of Persia game just like Rayman although there is no way for us to confirm it right now.
