Moto X Pure Edition Could Skip Android 6.0.1

The Moto X Pure Edition users are still waiting for their Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to arrive but they might not have to wait for it anymore as they might be jumping straight to the new Android 7.0 Nougat.

Motorola has just released the list of devices that will be getting the new Android 7.0 Nougat update and the 3rd generation Moto X Pure Edition smartphone was among the smartphones listed.

Besides the Moto X Pure Edition, the other Motorola devices that will be getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update will include the 4th generation Moto G, Moto G Plus, Moto G Play, Mote X Style, Moto X Play, Moto X Force, Droid Turbo 2, Droid Maxx 2, Moto X, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Force Droid, Moto Z Play, Moto Z Play Droid as well as the Nexus 6.

While it is nice to know that they will be getting new the OS, we are not sure if this is really good news for the Moto X Pure Edition users. The 6.0 Marshmallow they are having now is riddled with bugs and they are waiting for the 6.0.1 to come fix it. Instead, they will be getting the 7.0 Nougat which also contains its list of bugs that Google will need to fix.
