Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Needs To Put On Some Diapers

Leaking issues with the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport has forced Mitsubishi to recall their Outlander Sport.

According to NHTSA’s report, the hose clamp on the CVT might not be secured properly causing the transmission fluid to leak. If that happens, the transmission might not work properly. The leakage will also increase the risk of a fire.

A total of 45,731units of the Mitsubishi Outlander will be recalled. Those affected are those made from the 25th fo June 2014 until the 25th of November 2015 and runs on the 2.0-liter engine that’s mated to a CVT option.

That means those running on the 2.4-liter engine won’t have to worry about the recall since they are fitted with a five-speed manual transmission instead of the CVT.

The vehicles will be inspected. If the problem does exist, Mitsubishi will be repairing the transmission hose clamps to stop it from leaking.
