Microsoft’s Window Phone User Throws In Their Towel

By  |

Some people seems to swear that their switch to a Windows powered smartphone was the best decision they have ever made but it is clear that not all people seem to share that thought as some users have gone on Reddit to rant about why they ended up giving up their Windows powered device.

A user with a Lumia 925 said that he ended up giving up his Windows Phone because of the apps. As much as he liked the hardware, software, and design of the device, he just had enough of having to wait for some of the popular apps to arrive like Facebook and Messenger. It was also frustration when the Instagram app that they had were on beta for such a long time.

Another Windows Phone users also reported that he really like the Microsoft Lumia 640 that he got and he doesn’t really mind using it as his main smartphone right now but he admitted that he had to get an Android smartphone as a secondary phone because he did not want to be left out.

Yep, it is a small market that can use Windows 10 Mobile because of limited number of apps. But if the software you need is available on Windows 10 Phone, it is a sweeet ride!! I am one of the lucky few. . .I have a Lumia 650 which is a really beautiful phone. And best of all you can get a no-contact one for free from Cricket right now! And as a bonus, it has never burst into flames!

I had to ditch my HTC One (M8 Windows) as it didn’t want to work when I was at work. I got it as it was on the list at that time to upgrade to Windows Mobile 10… that plug got pulled by MS even before Verizon could pull that plug; Verizon NEVER does OTA updates on the phone I have.

As Windows phone has Facebook, Messenger and a full non beta Instagram I call bull crap on this. We have always had full Facebook and Messenger with phone 10 Instagram was in beta but went out of beta 8 months ago.
