Microsoft Lumia 950 XL Target Group Too Small

By  |

It is easy to see what Microsoft wants to do with their Lumia devices and it is also clear that they have actually succeeded in creating one of the best smartphones for business users but is that really going to be enough.

Those that have actually gone out and bought the Lumia 950 XL and the other Lumia devices would most likely say that they are impressed with what Microsoft have to offer and that although the Windows 10 did not start out great, Microsoft made up for it later on with the upgrades and fixes.

If it is so great, why aren’t they selling for of it? As great as the Lumia 950 XL and the other Lumia devices are, they are just not that fun to own. It works well as a portable computer and its camera and display is one of the best in the market right now but it is not fun.

Although there are tons of apps available right now, apps that would matter to the younger generation like Snapchat and Pokemon Go are still missing and that could affect how the Lumia devices are perceived by the younger generation.

While we do like where Microsoft is going with their smartphone, we also think that their target audience might be a little too small right now.

You have right, Lumia 950 XL is a great tool for people like me, who are looking for a reliable smartphone with perfect camera, good battery life and synchro with my notebook. The work with Offices in both, my notebook and my phone is really easy. I do not care about fun apps, I prefer security. But MS team seems to be dominated by youngsters, who try to compete Android or Apple in the fun area and forget to care about business oriented people. I hope MS will change the approach and will focus more on this group, which is quite large if they offer good quality for reasonable price, especially for corporations, where the expense cuts is a must since 2009.
