Microsoft Lumia 950 XL: Lousy Or Just Unlucky

By  |

If you read about some of the issues that the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL users seem to have with the device, you would think that the hardware is pretty bad but the fact is that those users could just be the unlucky few.

Some users have been reporting that their Microsoft Lumia 950 XL tend to overheat at times. Other also reported that the device also seems to have a shorter battery life than what Microsoft reported.

There are users who also reported that the device will sometimes reboot on its own without any real reason and all the patches and fix that Microsoft has offered does not seem to solve any of those issues.

Not all users have reported having the same issue with the device. In fact, many of them are saying that most of the hardware issue that they have been having with the device was fixed when Microsoft released the updates soon after the release of the device.

A really great phone but not really a full PC with multitasking at its core so to speak. I own the 950xl, and truly love it. I believe the concept of the surface phone makes perfect sense. It’s not just another ARM based device, it’s truly a full fledged PC much as the Surface cleans the clock of the IPAD pro, the surface phone will make same of all smart phones. I think the smart phone device market is stagnated because they have evolved over the initial IPhone concept on the processors of the day, this will soon change. That is the reason for the demise if the Lumia as well it will be that of the IPhone and Android devices at least IMHO.

Have owned my 950 XL for about a year. Haven’t experienced any of the negative issues some are complaining about. However, the Anniversary Update made it significantly faster and smoother.

I am now on my third Lumia phone. Two 950’s and a 950xl. Broke one, passed one on to an employee and now have a 950. I have experienced all of the issues that people have complained about but they have all been fixed by updates. Windows 10 mobile has been very much a work in progress but it has been worth the wait. I love my 950 now. During this time I have had a galaxy 6 and an iPhone 6s as spare(test) phones. I wouldn’t want either as my main phone.
