LG Nexus 6 Clues May Drop On 17th May With The G3

It has been said that the LG G3 could be the base for the Nexus 6 and it may arrive 17 May. A South Korean source has told us this and if it is true then LG will be hard at work on the device right now. The LG G2 hasn’t reached its first birthday yet, it will be one year old in August this year, so we don’t expect LG to release a follow up until then. However if they do decide to release the LG G3 in May it would come out ahead of one of its competitors, the Samsung Galaxy S5.

The last two handsets from LG were the base for the Google Nexus and Nexus 5, so there is a good chance that Google will choose to go with LG once again for the Nexus 6.

Some have said that the LG G2 didn’t sell all that well and this could be reason enough for LG to bring the launch of the LG G3 forward. They will want to offer something impressive this time around as the handset will be in competition with the Samsung Galaxy S5. It is thought that both devices will have specs that are pretty much matched. The LG G3 could arrive with a QHD display f 5 inches and 2560 x 1140 resolution. We could also see a 16MP camera with OIS and the octa-core processor. It has been said that LG could reveal the handset early so as to compete against the Samsung Galaxy S5.

If the LG G3 arrives in May it would be revealed two to three months following the HTC One+. The HTC One+ is just a slight improvement over the predecessor. Fans of LG have been wondering if LG could reveal the LG G2 Pro, this handset falls halfway between the LG G2 and LG G3. However they have launched the LG G Flex which boasts a flexible display. If LG choose to launch the LG G2 Pro the chances are that they will do so at the MWC in Barcelona. The device could have a display of 5.9 inches, which would be bigger than that of the LG G Flex.
