LG Nexus 6 May Go Chrome OS, Not Android 5.0

In the not too distant future we could see LG launch its own devices with Chrome OS instead of Android.

Apparently TMWatch came across trademarks made by LG sometime last month. Each of these trademarks has a name that was related to Chrome. They said the trademarks are “ChromeOne,” “ChromeDesk” and “ChromeStation.”

We did hear a rumour going around at some point last year that LG could have made an agreement with Microsoft for patents; however this is actually the first time that we have heard of official documents of actual hardware under development.

At the moment what the trademarks stand for when it comes to products is anyone’s guess. Could then be a docking station, something for the desktop and a new device? However each of them was filed under what is known as the International Class 009. In simple terms to me and you this means it can cover anything from computers, to tablets, phones and speakers for cars.

Of course for now people are only just getting their hands on their orders of the LG Nexus 5 and all its wonderfulness of pure Android, so there are very few who are actually going to care about the fact that the Nexus 6 may or may not arrive with Chrome OS. Bear in mind that one of the biggest selling points of the Nexus handsets is the fact that it offers the pure Android experience, not the pure Chrome experience.
