Lamborghini Aventador Gets A Little Too Hot

It is common to hear about recalls being made every year but people tend to pay more attention when the recall is for a supercar like the Lamborghini Aventador. According to the reports by NHTSA, the Lamborghini Aventador will have to be recalled after they discovered an issue with the fuel tank that might cause a fire.

Lamborghini will be recalling a total of 1453units of the Aventador. While it does not sound like a lot, bear in mind that they don’t sell a lot of these vehicles either. The affected models will be those build from 2012 to 2017.

The reports stated in an event where the fuel tank is overfilled, the liquid fuel could reach the carbon canister in certain handling condition. When the fuel reaches the purge valves, the EVAP system could get affected and would result in a fire.

Those affected will be getting an upgraded EVAP system for free. A few other models that use the same tech as the Aventador might also be affected.
