Car junkies have been on overdrive ever since last night, when an image of a Ford large prototype sedan was shared on the internet. Tipsters revealed it to be a test mule of a future vehicle coming from the American carmaker but no names were mentioned.
Despite that fact, many were quick to assume it as the highly rumoured 2016 Ford Taurus. The problem here is that the photo is taken from an angle where we can’t see the front portion. From the side and the rear, it does hint on the Ford Taurus.
On the other hand, the rear portion looks a lot like the Ford Fusion. However, the shape is broader and the structure is more angular than before. Perhaps, we could be seeing a new trim level of the Ford Fusion coming in 2015.
At the moment, there is no telling if it is the Taurus of the Fusion. Regardless, the test mule looks like the complete deal and it will surely compete with the upcoming Nissan Maxima when released.
