The Half Life series of games is one of the biggest and best in the gaming industry. The titles have all been best-sellers and have gone on to win Game of the Year awards. For more than a decade fans have been waiting for the release of Half Life 3.
The wait has been a long one and recently Gabe Newell spoke up and talked about the game.
Digital Journal said they had seen a statement from Valves co-founder and this seemed to point at the fact that Half Life 3 isn’t being developed right now. Newell said that there was a lot more to Valve than just Half Life 3, there are other games that they want to develop.
Up to this point Valve had been keeping quiet about Half Life 3 and it had taken them 10 years before they spoke about the game.
Newell had said that Half Life 3 was just one of the possible games. He said “…the key is to just continue to follow where the customers are leading.” Gamers are desperate for Half Life 3 and so if Newell does stick to what he said we could see Half Life 3 in development soon.
Half Life competes alongside games such as Call of Duty and Halo, all of which are FPSs, it offers a game that is unique as gamers have to defend against aliens.
