It is unsure if the Half Life series is dead and gone in the eyes of Valve but fans of the game are still hopeful that a third sequel will be created eventually. For a decade the fans have waited for Half Life 3 and there is still no sign of the game coming. Nevertheless, the fans keep on discussing about it.
In the latest buzz on Half Life 3, fans were wondering on what if Half Life 3 will not have anything to do with the Borealis. After waiting for so long, some fans begin to think that Valve might just skip the cliff-hanger on Half Life 2 Episode 2 and jump straight into the future.
However, fans write the idea off as there are so much unanswered questions in the second sequel. The Half Life community agreed that the only way that may happen is if Valve created a Half Life 2 Episode 3.
On the other hand, there is that idea where a Half Life 3 game gets released and will totally be about something else. Not long after, Half Life 2 Episode 3 gets released to act as a transition from the Episode 2 to Half Life 3.
All in all, these are bright ideas from the fans. Then again, Valve will be both blind and deaf to this.
