Google showed off their new prototype wearable that looked like it was inspired by the popular movie Star Trek.
According to Google, the device will be fitted with a microphone with Bluetooth connection so that it can be connected to a smartphone so that users can interact with it with their voice
So what does have to do with Star Trek? In Star Trek, the characters are able to communicate among themselves with the lapel pin. Google’s new prototype was designed to be fitted on the same spot, but the Google version is round instead.
Another thing to point out is that since this is a Google device that can be connected to the smartphone, Google will most likely be able to use it to track locations of their user much like what the lapel pin in Star Trek did. See the connection?
We are still not sure where Google plans to go with this so we will still have to wait and see.
