Google Nexus 10 2 Release Hopes Dashed As ‘New Nexus 10 2′ Just An Updated Build

It has been a roller coaster ride for fans of the Google tablets who have been waiting for the Nexus 10 2. Just recently, the Nexus 10 tablet was taken out of the Google Play store, hinting that a successor is on its way. However, it turned out to be otherwise.

Today, the fans are whining as the old slate has returned on Google Play store. The removal was actually to update the Nexus 10 devices to the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS. For almost a year now, the fans have been anticipating any announcements on the Nexus 10 2.

Rumours have it that the future successor was delayed due to a mix-up with the creators. It is a fatal four way with Samsung, LG, Asus and HTC all trying to get the rights for the Nexus 10 2.

Regardless of the maker, fans are expecting the Nexus 10 2 to have 2560 x 1600p resolution. As for the processor, it will run on the 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 or the Nvidia Tegra 4 with 3GB RAM and Adreno 330GPU. The Nexus 10 2 will come at 16GB or 32GB variant.

If there is to be a Nexus 10 2, it is going to be announced during Google I/O Conference in June this year.
