Japan has now approved the use of cameras to replace the side mirror on their vehicle. That means we should start seeing automakers like Mazda, Honda, and Toyota start coming out with models without side mirror.

Since the mirror won’t be there to create drag, these new mirrorless models should also be more fuel efficient. The wind noise creates by these side mirror will also be nonexistence so that is another plus. Drivers can also stop worrying about their side mirror getting hit by passing cars.

Unlike side mirrors, Camera also does not have a blind spot. The only problem now would be to get the drivers to adapt to the new camera system.
