Fallout 4: Good Or Evil Debate

Bethesda’s Fallout franchise has always offered gamers an extra edge and gamers have been faced with psychological stress when it comes down to making the right choice.

Fallout is an RPG game and gamers have had to choose whether or not to make their character evil or not. The community has always agreed that a one dimensional bad guy can make a game boring to play.

However if you take notice of the latest discussions about how things can be improved you can see that it brings up this element of gameplay.

There has been flaws with the negative decisions which were offered in the Fallout series and fans of the game pointed out that evil is too despicable to perform and this means that players feel forced to be good.

Gamers said that Bethesda need to add more in depth to the evil options, this is down to the fact that most gamers refuse to be bad to the extreme, while at the same time they don’t want to be too righteous.

One way of looking at it is the options offered when the gamer found a child that was lost. In the current situation the options are (a) return the kid to the parents and claim reward or (b) sell the kid away for a reward of the same amount. Gamers suggested that perhaps there could be more choices. For instance being able to return the child after extorting more money for a reward for the return.

The question has generated a great deal of buzz on the forums of Fallout and many people have been in agreement that it could be improved. Bethesda could take some hints from games such as Mass Effect or Star Wars KOTOR as these are both superb when it comes to offering choices to the player.
